Let's turn 3 now.

I hope that playing a team like Cleveland shows all the fantasy baseball masterminds how important it is to field a defensively responsible team. I can't speak for the community here at Crane Pool because I am new to the site, but on another board that I frequent, the posters are extremely hard on some of the players... Pagan and Frenchy in particular. Every other thread is a fantasy trade proposal for another power bat or pitcher... It drives me insane.

You just can't understate the importance of having a rifle arm in right field and a center fielder that can fly to the ball.[/quote:8k4bd01a]

Cleveland desperately misses Grady Sizemore - mostly for his bat but in the field too.
Without him they have to put an ersatz CFer in there - Kearns is no klutz but he doesn't belong in the middle. And that just slides an even worse fielder into where Kearns should be. Duncan, as a fielder, is a platoon DH - not to mention being a meat-head.

An OF of Choo, Sizemore & Kearns, on the other hand, would be more than decent defensively but you can see how quickly that falls apart when the keystone is taken out.

If I sarcastically applaud from my couch, is there any chance the team hears me in Cleveland? Because I'm totally doing it.

Now just applauding.

Sneaky-tricky 5-4-3 to turn, there; Tejada is a keystone-and-a-half with the glove.

A pitcher's BFF - Elmer gets out of the mess due to a nicely turned DP!

Just got back from entertaining DocTee at a Capitol Hill bar. We had a great time. Unfortunately, the only way we could follow the Mets game was through my Blackberry.

Least it was Capital Hill and not Flushing. I was in a Chili's in Baltimore Saturday and of four TVs none were showing the Orioles game. I feel bad for Orioles fans.

The Mets are now undefeated when I dine with fellow Cranepudlians.

Edgy, unfortunately, could not join me and Valadius. At some point all our paths will cross.

had a good time, Val. Nice meeting you!

WOW....very cool of you Val......when I see "entertaining at a Capitol Hill bar" I think sordid things.....

No, they went to the Dubliner --- lowscale indeed, but hardly sordid.

Sorry I couldn't join you men.

When was the last time the Mets won two consecutive road series?

By my quick scan, the Mets took 2 of 3 at FLA 8/29-8/31/08 before sweeping the Brewers in Milwaukee. That seems to be the last time.
