Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 A positive appearance for Ignatius Igarashi would be some sweet dessert here.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Three outs away for first 3 game road win streak against the same team since last May's Giant series.First sweep since a 2 game series in Atlanta in May.First 3 game sweep since the Brewers in early September of 2008!

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Jerry's post game interview on SNY is less annoying when theteam is playing well. Hmmmm.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 First three-game road series sweep of an Interleague opponent since...ever!(We took three at MFYS II, but that included a makeup weeks after the first two wins.)Only InterSweeps prior to this one were at Shea: Tigers in '04, MFYs in '04, A's in '07 plus Blue Jays all three times they came to Shea: '97, '99, '01.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Hey, look! It's Jenrry Mejia pitching a low-leverage inning! Thank goodness he's not in the minors working as a starting pitcher![/quote:2dfnvczq]Punch bowl turd.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 My eight-year-old daughter called Jose Reyes' leadoff homer on Saturday night, and it made her very proud. She then called a followup homer by Angel Pagan, but she was pushing her luck.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 7 games over .500 for the first time since May 31, 2009...which is when the free fall started.First place or bust...bring on the seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians"!

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Yeah, I'm not comfortable with the bust part of that. I'm all, "First place or, failing that, a very competitive second!"
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 I can get down with that. No busts for us.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Enjoyed a nice weekend along Baltimore' Inner Harbor. Used the water taxi extensively on Sunday (to/from game, to/from dinner, and liesurely evening harbor cruise). I really enjoyed Camden Yard. A very beutifaul stadium that looks much newer than it actually is. Our section was predominantly Mets fans. The first 3-4 rows were almost entirely Mets fans except for 2 grandmotherly ladies sitting in front of my wife and I. I felt a little sorry for the two of them. With the quick start the Mets had in the first inning, the ladies had little to do but commiserate about Peter Angelos' ownership and proclaim that we Mets fans were alot better company than the Yankee fans.

Drove down Saturday morning (and was shocked it was so close. 3.5 hours including stopping for bagels, gas, and coffee at Molly Pitcher) from North Jersey. I didn't take the Water Taxi, figured $10 a person was a bit much for a quick trip to Fells Point. Besides, I'll be on a NY ferry to Governor's island (and more craft beer than a normal person could drink in a year) Saturday. The only drawback to Baltimore (besides the stupid traffic home Sunday evening) was all the random Phillies fans.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 A few shots from the game. I'm not very good at scanning and posting pictures, so I hope this works. Pre-launch. Welcome Home. 3 Run Kaboom Sweet turn of a beatiful DP Jose busting out of the box
