Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Let's return the favor and sweep these smarmy fish the fuck out of Flushing.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Gonna be an interesting day at the ol' ballyard. Wind, thunderstorms, maybe some hail! It's a good thing Citifield is a tolerable place to spend a rain delay, because that's where I'll be.

Methead Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Heh. I don't remember experiencing too many rain delays at Shea. I must have been through a few of them, but maybe my brain is repressing those terrible memories.

Rangers played slip and slide on the tarp (I actually have a youtube video upload of it somewhere) and people behind me were criticizing the Mets for not going out there and sliding. Then the rain and lightning got much worse and they strongly encouraged us all to leave the stands. And we grabbed a little corner behind a beer stand for ourselves. I think it was a giveaway day too, possibly the Shea replica one.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Like the move here by Jerry, giving the aging Tejada a rest to shake up a lineup that hasn't produced the last couple of days.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Looks like Wright woulda been out by a mile and is held at third on Frenchy double. Cora then walks, and Tak K's to end the inning. Booth sorta on Hale's ass for not sending him, but if Wright's out by 10 feet, who gives a crap what the situation is?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Extra Innings has the Marlins feed and their text poll is: "What is your favorite Marlins moment vs. the Mets? Eliminating the Mets in 07; Eliminating the Mets in 08; JJ over Santana; 4 game sweep in '10." B, C, and D are within a point or two of each other with A way behind. Grrrr.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 My friends and family think I am now officially insane.Sorry, gotta go,Met game on TV!Still took awhile to gracefully slip away.If a cop tried to pull me over for speeding I would have eluded him until I was in front of this TV set. It's a fact!I heard some dings about that pesky Uggla.I heard some dings.Got to see that business with the kid, the man, the son, and the foul ball. The booth made me laugh over that, especially Ralph.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Wright goes 1st to 2nd tagging up!ughhh Cora... can we please let Tejada play every day?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 So if a replay rule is instated in baseball I guess we're spending that last half-inning reviewing:- whether Hanley was still on the base when receiving the flip on the DP- whether Pagan was safe at 1st on the back end of the DP- and whether Pagan was then safe at 2nd on his steal attempt

Only one play can be reviewed per game. And if the manager wastes it he gets a bat shoved up his ass.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Most close plays in baseball can't be decided by a replay.
