Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 We don't have a "Mets Fan Douchebags" thread here but this clown would be #1...
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Not sure how he didn't get shivved like a prison snitch.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 The loutish obnoxious abuses of rival fans is enough without having lame-o Met fans giving it back in kind, but the Daily News sponsoring it as some sort of gonzo experiment (or an attempt to pander to the blog-reading generaton?) is, like, superstupid.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 They've been pulling dumbass stunts like this for awhile. To get away with it they send "news" reporters to do it, and they run them in the front sections as though they're human interest stories. It's all about polishing their populist outlook. "The most New York you can get," etc. People like me ought to write in and complain about how childish and embarrassing it is.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Sounds like they're trying to create an adjunct to Bondy's role in touting YS's 'Bleacher Creatures' as representing what sports is all about.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Dude acts like a Manchurian Yankee Fan.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I would never pull such a stupid stunt as Deutch's. But I'm glad that he did it.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 He represents the obnoxious and loutish behavior that gives fans of their represented teams a bad name.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Maybe it was the Daily News camera crew that was accompanying him that kept him from being eviscerated.Later
