seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Gary Matthews is still on this team? Hmm.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 GMJ & Jacobs - I'll just dub the pair Gar Master Jake - are absolutely killing a lineup that, frankly, doesn't need a whole lot of help in killing itself. Not only no hits but barely any contact.GMJ apparently got the start tonight because he had good numbers against (if I were a) Carpenter but it wasn't like it was a huge sample size (something like 15 ABs) and I wonder how long ago those ABs were.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Uh oh. Stay frosty, OllieBoy.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Well, if you've got a choice between leaving your cruising starter in to face a righty currently batting .080, and not tempting the other manager to sub in a BETTER HITTER... and, y'know, something else... you've got to do the other thing, obviously.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Nerts. Bases loaded.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 And just like that, the bases are jammed.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I -- I got nothing. It's like he's not watching the same game as the rest of us.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Shoulda stuck wit' Ollie, fool. But come on, are you telling me that, now that Feliciano is designated the "eighth inning setup man," you won't use him to go after this guy with the bases loaded in the seventh?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 It's stupid, really frustrating to watch . I'm sick of reading how Manuel thinks outside the box, no he doesn't.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Seriously? Valdes? Did Feliciano die?And CLICK the game goes off. 'Night, Jerry.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 For the first time in 2010 we might be able to say Cockpunch loss
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Well, it's important that we save our best relievers for the key situations.Maybe one will come up.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I blame the Tea Party people for this.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I have to blame Jerry.I feel so powerless watching him use the pitching staff as if designed for minimal effectiveness.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 You know , and way to show some confidence in Ollie, he's going great but because it's the God forbid 7th inning Manuel has to yank at the first sign of trouble. Manuel better not be going on after game talking about how he wanted to get Ollie that win.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I have to blame Jerry.I feel so powerless watching him use the pitching staff as if designed for minimal effectiveness.[/quote:2ptklz76]Oh go back to your Sandra Bullock film fest.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Manuel just seems to have no clue when it comes to handling a pitching staff. Hell, I don't like the way he has handled the position players the past few games. It has become painfully obvious to me tha Jerry Manuel must go. The sooner the better. I don't see this team ever being successful with Manuel at the helm.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Tying run at the plate, Bay-be.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 It's a rally bitches! If you went to bed or turned off the TV, then I don't even know you man.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I'll gladly take Wright's single but it was silly, I think, for Keith to suggest that the single was preferable to a HR.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 It was a double.Bay check swing K's. Weak AB and he's still RBI-less,
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Come on, Bay. Ugh.Reyes for Jacobs, and you can bet Tatis for Jacobs.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I have to blame Jerry.I feel so powerless watching him use the pitching staff as if designed for minimal effectiveness.[/quote:1rrom0ie]Oh go back to your Sandra Bullock film fest.[/quote:1rrom0ie]Yeah, well, go back to your, um, Romantics records.Yeah ---- huh? How you like that?
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Glad Tatis slipped the ump a fifty before stepping into the box, because two of those balls were way too close.
