smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 While I'm glad Catalanotto got a hit, why wouldn't Manuel just pinch-hit Pagan there? He pinch-ran anyway, and Catalanotto is neither the better hitter in general nor more likely to tie the game with a homer.I didn't know about Feliciano, so I'll cut Manuel some slack. Although taking out Perez with a shorthanded pen gets even more puzzling. Sigh.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I'll gladly take Wright's single but it was silly, I think, for Keith to suggest that the single was preferable to a HR.

He left it 8-for-15. If you're not gonna use Mr. Smithtown against a pitcher off whom he's batting .500, then send him back to Suffolk County at once.
