metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Your time to shine Bay.[/quote:3iirzqks]And Capps toyed with him.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 It's a game of inches. Fuckin' inches.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Who the fuck moved Harris to left field?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 They lost because no one responded to my "LETS."
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 Harris was a FA the Mets should have signed him just to avoid what just happened.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 I was being sarcastic, metirish.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 Tough loss. Willie Friggin' Harris.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I'm guessing Clippard won't be the Nats' sixth-inning guy for long.Jesus Christ, could Bay have possibly had a worse at-bat?I'm officially against giving Matt Capps any outs ever again.Speaking of Capps, he's allowed eight baserunners in three innings of work so far this season, and has two saves and a zero ERA to show for it. Unfortunately, the bullets he won't dodge will probably come against other teams. (I'm assuming, perhaps naively, that a game that starts with Johan vs. Livan will not require the Mets to get to Capps in order to secure a victory.)A good call by the Nets manager to move Harris to left even with Zim hurt. Willingham would have never come close to making that play.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 A hell of a catch, saved the game.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I'm guessing Clippard won't be the Nats' sixth-inning guy for long.he should be their 6th inning guy. and the 7th. and the 8th. theres no reason to pull a reliever, particularly one who has started before and you know can throw alot, when he is pitching well. fuck the whole "one guy per inning, one inning per guy" bull.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 So that's got to be at least three game-saving catches against the Mets by Harris, right? One back w/Atlanta and two now with the Nats. That's almost freakish.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Not Jason Bay's best moment as a Met. Guh.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Julia Stiles throwing out the first pitch was clearly the highlight. That and the scarves they gave out, which came in handy in this Bob Seger of a day, sitting against the wind.Lots of inane fans in my Prom section, the dumbest of them being the douche who started a Ruben Tejada chant when Reyes made his error and did it every time he came up. Same fucker blurted "ANOTHER ALOMAR" for Bay in the ninth. I like a good early panic as much as the next fan, but come on.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Willie Harris can eat a dick, I hate that guy.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 David LennonWillie Harris did it again."It's nothing with me or those guys," Harris said. "I think, when you have 5,000, 10,000 people out there calling you all kinds of names and saying all kinds of things - which aren't nice - you've got to find some way to make 'em hush. In my mind, I'm saying, 'You better not hit that ball to me,' because that's the thing that gets me going on defense. I'm glad I made thHarris ill-treated at CF?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Well, then, his hearing must be superhuman. If you can't trust this guy...
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 fuck bunts.[/quote:2urrzjz7]I'm starting to get on that bandwagon that wouldn't mind seeing Manuel booted. If I remember correctly, he sac-bunted in the 8th and ninth. Yes, he gave away 2 of the last 6 outs. Idiot.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
