Given that it's almost Yom Kippur, I'm surprised there's no tallis or tzitzis involved.

Dang, Ken is too old to put up with that.

Why's Wright gone now from the first picture?

I'm about six clicks from becoming a Royals fan.

Appears to be a moment before or after.

Maybe I don't understand professional jock humor and tradition.

How the last three seasons have ended, I really have no patience to
see such nonsense -- with or without Mr. Wright.

Er... given that they're all gentiles, that might have gone over about as well as blackface.

Jay thinks, "hey, how did they get to my on-the-road stockings?"

I tend to agree with this....

Look at Takahashi again, you can see his tzitzis real nice.

The season has been pretty miserable for them too, I imagine. Let them have fun with their little tradition; I don't see the harm in it.

Really, it seems that you guys are letting your frustration with the season turn this little joke into something much more than it is. With or without this, they would still be eliminated.

Well, last three seasons.

Shouldn't Murphy have been hazed last year?[/quote:39aljhmj]

Some teams do it before September. In '06 the Mets did it after their June trip to Toronto because making the rookies go through customs in those getups makes the whole ordeal even more rigorous.

Hazing needs to be abolished..Who will be the first manager with the balls to not allow it?[/quote:z5gktkhq]

The Mets have been hazed by most of the National League this season.

He was, but --- son of a bitch --- he really liked it. Those are his regular street clothes now.

Don't know about the analogy, but I'm guessing (my YK SC notwithstanding) that the over/under on Mets aware of the Day of the Atonement yesterday was 0 (not counting Jay Horwitz).
