AND Jerry Manuel at the helm.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 In Rocky 5 he actually did have brain damage, as I recall. It started with him feeling the aftereffects of Ivan Drago beating on his skull.

Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Call me a pussy if you want, but I actually got a bit teary eyed watching the end of the fight sequence in Rocky Balboa. The end of an era. Watched that first Rocky film in 3rd freaking grade. Still remember acting out the parts with my friends on the playground.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Day/Night DH tomorrow. Better get a 2B from somewhere so Berroa doesn't have to play twice.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Hell, move Murphy to 2nd for a game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Gotta figure that original Thursday ticket-holders go to the noon game and Wednesday rain-checks get the night-cap.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I really wish they'd bring back scheduled double-headers.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 The Mets are going to hold a press conference for the rainout. Omar will blame it on Al Roker.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 No, I think Omar would blame this guy:
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Its supposed to rain for the rest of the week.If the Rockie are still in the hunt, the Mets will be playing meaningful games in October.Later

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Robinson Cancel up, Elmer Dessens, DFA'd. Schneider is having knee issues.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 From the Mets blog at the Daily News( not with Rubin btw)Luis Castillo's wife is scheduled to give birth today, so he is not in the lineup for Game 1, but apparently would be available later in the opener. I would think he'd start at second in Game 2.Um , here's hoping for a quick delivery
