Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ="G-Fafif"]MARLINS:Nine hateful individuals who spook Mike Pelfrey by dint of their collective teal essence. The most succinct KTE ever.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Pelf cruises through the first on a popup, a grounder and a whiff of Uggla.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 A little trouble here in the second though.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I think the ump bails Beltran out. The ball appears to have hit the ground.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Looked like a trap. Too bad his good fortune didn't carry over to the AB.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Omir Kaboom Santos. Where did this guy get that power from, holy crap!
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Who is watching on SNY? Gary Apple is hyping a potential Met trade if we stay tuned for Sportsnite? Anbody know what he's referring to?
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ="PiggiesTomatoes"]Looked like a trap. Too bad his good fortune didn't carry over to the AB.---Martinez follows the Santos homer with a line drive single. Time to bump the Jerkface thread again?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Hahn, I had heard speculation of Castro to Seattle for ???One of the radio shows a few days ago - forget which. Could have been just a fan's mental gymnastics, so I'm taking it with more than one grain of salt.Later

Speaking of SNY spots and hot air, anyone catch Beningo and his ridiculous facestain talking about how the Mets are better off without Delgado. Blech.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Somebody is going. Hope it is Schneider. Jerry was speaking about how Castro might be able to play some 1BROY Candidate Santos is staying put. Catching for the Mets this year and most likely next

Could have been just a fan's mental gymnastics, so I'm taking it with more than one grain of salt. The Mariners just lost Kenji Johjima. Maybe they'll give up Felix Hernandez for Ramon.I found this in the Staten Island Advance:Seattle newspaper reports indicate that the Mariners are looking to deal, and players like shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt and first baseman/DH Russel Branyan are on the market along with veteran starters Erik Bedard and Jarrod Washburn. But it would likely take more than Castro to land any of those players, particularly Bedard, who the Mariners acquired from Baltimore for Adam Jones (.357 average, 11 homers, 36 RBI) and pitcher Chris Tillman, who is currently 5-0 in Triple-A with a 2.13 ERA and 44 strikeouts and ranked as the No. 16 prospect in baseball.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Beautiful play by Castillo. I can't believe it's the 7th inning already.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Castillo looks like the guy who played for the World Champs in 2003.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 By the way, you'll note that this Adam West character who's pitching for the Marlins falls nicely in line with the whole Curse of Jason Jennings that has haunted the Mets in recent years.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 If you thought Omir Santos would be tied with David Wright in clouts at the end of May, raise your right hand. Then aise yourleft leg and hop in a circle.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Omir certainly is making a case to stick around.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Good job, Big Pelf. Good job by Jerry sticking with him. Good time to pull him.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Ooh, I don't like this move. Pelf had Uggla looking bad his first two times up, and he hits the fastball. I hope I'm wrong, but this matchup scares me.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I'm wrong, and I'm spectacular. Nice job by Parnell and Santos, that 2-1 slider had Uggla clueless on the 3-2 pitch.
