HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 OK, we need some heroics.DWright, I'm looking at you.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Whatever it is it is..but this team sucks ass...Fire Manuel befores the team gets away from him. It was Manuels's own words last night that the team was nervous.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Between non-hitting w/RiSP and relievers walking two to start an inning I've got enough to be pissed off at without inventing things. But now, someone from the 'O' is going to have to be the hero today.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 (edited) ="TransMonk"]Would it be over-broad to amend my statement to: This reads to me like Santana should go nine innings every start if he's winning by one run.Only a little. If he's not exbhiting signs of fatigue and failure, sure. And Rodriguez being a better bet than most would give the manager more latitude. But the difference between every start and every start that he's winning by one run is a very broad one. Him just going eight, besides giving us a better pitcher in the ninth, reduces the bullpen vulnerablity tremendously in the ninth, because then you have both Putz and Rodriguez available, and one can bail the other out in a crisis. Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Leadoff walk for Sheff. I like it.No bunting, please, fellas.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Sheff walks .... run Castillo?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Castillo's back must be bad if he's not running here.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Come on, Beltran! Vanis Takee!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 2 walks, and here comes DW.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Good eye! Two walks, two baserunners, no outs.C'mon, David. Get yer mojo on.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Shouldn't Maine or Perez pinch-run here? (assuming Castillo cant of course)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Here, here, I wouldn't blanche at a bunt.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 mr. Wright's chance to shut me up
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Back-to-back walks to lead off the inning... just like what the Mets gave the Marlins in the 8th. Let's get two runs just like they did!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Lindstrom pitches like Putz.NO WAY we can leave the field this inning with out being at least tied.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I think David could benefit from a heroic walk-off hit here.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Wright off to his typical 0-2 deficit
