They just keep on giving. Meet the latest douchebag

"It's funny because my brother always yells at me to make sure I knock the ball or do what I need to do to help the Yankees win," he said.

Did the play remind Jeter of his feted longball that tied Game 1 of the ALCS that the Yankees eventually won in extra innings? "Nope, because it went over the fence," he said.

If Jeter openly acknowledges his "homer" was not a homer at all, why do the rest of us have to live under the fiction?

Can a stadium open a week have lore?[/quote:34p2wyqy]

New York's baseball fans have been attending big league games longer at Citi Field than at any wannabe, Yankee-come-lately venue.

We have the tradition. They have the steakhouse. And quite a lot of douchebags.

The original Brian Doyle, of course was a genuinely awful professional baseball player who somehow managed to have the only good week of his life during the 1978 World Series when Willie Randolph was hurt.

This one looks like Lee Mazzilli's witless cousin. I wonder how his head would look on rolls.

Chief YLDB Mike Francesa is practically weeping that MFYS III is a bandbox, overlooking 33 seasons of cheap RF porch home runs in MFYS II.

"Yankee Stadium was always an honest ballpark." Salute when you say that, mister.

Belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of Yankee-Lovin' Douchebags

ESPECIALLY because he grew up a Mets fan.
Jumped ship during the Torre era .... because (and he admitted this, so)
the Yankees were more popular.

I turned off City Slickers after Billy Crystal tells his YS story and ends it with that douchebag voice of his saying "And I still have the program" Let me have that program. I'll have a book bbq and dance around the fire like a wild injun. Me and the the warden at Shawshank.

Notorious MFY dump where MFY loving douchebags go to have a wank

Owner of popular Yankee Stadium bar charged with tax evasion

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
April 24, 2009

The owner of a popular sports bar near Yankee Stadium has been arrested and charged with evading more than $1 million in personal and business taxes owed the city and state.

Prosecutors on Thursday said Joe Bastone, owner of Yankee Tavern, was charged with grand larceny, offering a false instrument for filing, and false returns.

Court papers indicate the charges stemmed from a two year investigation by the New York City Department of Finance of Yankee Tavern's business records, customer receipts and financial ledgers from January 1, 2002 through May 1, 2007.

The 55-year-old from Bronxville faces up to 15 years in prison on the most serious charge of grand larceny if convicted.

It's double your pleasure today

Roberts book is selling like hot cakes.

Ishmail Jones, a student living in Manhattan, said he's a "big fan" of A-Rod and plans to read the book.

"I've heard so much about it, I want to read about the steroids and about his personality, I look up to him a lot, and when the controversy came out I was like, 'Wow.'"

Douchebags try to re-enter MFYSIII after leaving before 9PM. Blackwater Security say no to vagrants

Francesa, interviewing Joe Girardi yesterday on Teixeira's poor start and the MFY fans' booing of him: "They're testing him."

Ergo, MFY fans boo, and it's an honorable gauntlet to be negotiated. Mets fans boo, and they're run-of-the-mill malcontents.

Billy Crystal has become completely intolerable.

The only thing I'd consider watching him in is a rerun of Soap.[/quote:1sk7dkc1]

You could rename the YLDBs as the "Crystal Club."

Booing? They're testing him.

Openly chanting for the return of the man who preceeded him in the job (despite his current employment with a first-place club in another division)? A test, you see.

Throwing nails in his driveway? An important test.

Kidnapping his children...

Francesa's still objectively unlistenable, but I can't stay away when the MFYs are floundering. Somebody called to mention Willie Mays' birthday was yesterday, and MF got intensely touchy. "This isn't a Willie Mays show," he huffed. "This is a Mickey Mantle show."

Maybe the Mick can fill in behind the plate tonight, Mikey.

Shocked to see someone in the $2500 seats actually showing some emotion. Then again, late in the game and the rabble rousers bullrush the hired help to get close to the field.

They just keep on giving . At the game last night two sections over a Yankee loving , Jeter jersey wearing douchebag got heckled very loudly and had ice and such thrown over him. He can be seen here in a picture I took giving the section above him the finger(s). If you look closely that's him on the stairwell steps with his white MFY cap and Jeter top.

Hey! Look at me! I'm an asshole who believes in dark forces... and voodoo!

The Yankees will have "home-field" advantage at Fenway Park tonight, thanks to one fan's grassroots effort to sabotage the Red Sox.

Ian Ferris, 30, a Bombers fan in the heart of Red Sox Nation, green-thumbed his nose at Boston by planting Yankee Stadium grass in the Fenway infield during a May 31 Phish concert.

Yankee Stadium grass seeds went on sale this year. Ferris hid the seeds in his pants as he entered Fenway, filled the bag with water and tossed it onto the infield.

"This is payback," said Ferris, who manages a Hooters in Vermont. "If even one blade of grass sprouts on the field, I feel it was a success."

He said he hoped the stunt would undo the jinx put on the new Yankee Stadium by a jersey-burying construction worker, Gino Castignoli of The Bronx. But Castignoli is not concerned.

"My curse is working," he said. "It's typical of a Yankee fan to think you can buy a jinx in a bag. When will they learn, you don't win with your wallet but with your heart?"
