seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I was sure we were looking at a three-car pileup right there. Glad that one fell out of play.

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Ruh-roh!Need a nice Triple Play here!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Oh, this is why they haven't let Kunz pitch.(Of course, if they let him pitch once in a while, he might remember where the strike zone is.)
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Not gonna inspire confidence that way.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 2 ground balls and an HBP. He needs to keep it in the strike zone, though.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Someone lock Aaron Heilman in the clubhouse bathroom.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 OK, Jerry. Come and get him.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I really wish we didn't need Kunz to be throwing ML innings this season.I'm looking at you Omar.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Come on Joey, take it home.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 He was just trying to get them within three runs so someone could get a save. That would be the glass half-full version.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 You know? My wife said "Pedro's pitching like Johan Santana tonight!" earlier this evening.Fucking hell, bullpen.Let's go, Other Pedro.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Feliciano in. Come on, lets bring this sucker in for the landing!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Oh JEEZUS I was sure that was a home run off the bat.Two out.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Wolfie, did you pick up one of those Topps packs from any of your usual channels?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Scarier than it should have been, but we'll take it!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Save that shouldn't have ever been for Feliciano. I'm getting sick of this shit.If Wagner is gone for any extended period of time past Monday, we are seriously fucked.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 A win is a win, but yeah, this pen is still looking mighty scary. Even with a healthy Wagner. This is what we are going to war with heading into the final month and a half of the regular season?

I'm looking at all the bloggers that have been drooling for him to close.Nothing wrong with giving the guy a gander.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 A gander is fine...in September. It seems to me that he is being looked at to contribute in meaningful games this season. It feels desperate, and for a guy that had only pitched 60 pro innings, none above AA, unreasonable as well.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
