Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I think at some level they know that their blend makes them tolerable in a way that they aren't on their own, and their brand has sustained them. in a way their names alone won't.They're both signed but not secure.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Here's something I guarantee no one will care about -- Raissman spelled Gene Klavan's name wrong.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 (edited) i listened to a few more minutes. Mike starts off instisting again and again that Yankee Stadium was built in 1926. When Dog decries the history lost, Mike says "Babe Ruth didn't play there! Mickey Mantle didn't play there! The place was rebuilt!"Ignorant and loud vs. ignorant and loud is great radio? I'm old, I guess. Edited August 15, 2008 by Guest
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 That video snippet is great because it captures the essence of the show in those 10 minutes.Hysteria, condescension, circular logic, malaprops.. it's all there.

My dad listened to Klavan when I was growing up (post-Finch). He was quite a talent.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I just found out about this.I'm... unmoved.Does this mean that the show will be half as stupid? Or twice as stupid? I can see how either could be true.
