I think at some level they know that their blend makes them tolerable in a way that they aren't on their own, and their brand has sustained them. in a way their names alone won't.

They're both signed but not secure.

i listened to a few more minutes. Mike starts off instisting again and again that Yankee Stadium was built in 1926. When Dog decries the history lost, Mike says "Babe Ruth didn't play there! Mickey Mantle didn't play there! The place was rebuilt!"

Ignorant and loud vs. ignorant and loud is great radio? I'm old, I guess.

That video snippet is great because it captures the essence of the show in those 10 minutes.

Hysteria, condescension, circular logic, malaprops.. it's all there.

Here's something I guarantee no one will care about -- Raissman spelled Gene Klavan's name wrong.

Misspelling is always bothersome. My dad listened to Klavan when I was growing up (post-Finch). He was quite a talent.

="seawolf17"]Callers are crying too? It's just a radio show, folks. Get over it. Jeez.

Oh that's easy for you to say , I'm from Saddle River , still live in my Moms basement and really can't afford Sirius Radio. I might have to get a job now.....

Sirius XM Satellite Radio introduced Chris Russo Tuesday morning as its newest personality -- complete with a 24-hour a day sports talk channel for which he will serve as executive producer.

Russo, 48, left WFAN Thursday, ending his 19-year partnership with Mike Francesa, and signed with Sirius on Monday afternoon.

Russo will host a show from 2-7 p.m. weekdays, working without a partner, that will debut on Sept. 15.

He will host preview shows before that, including one from the U.S. Open tennis tournament. The full slate of talk shows on his channel will be announced in the fall. Russo said he is unconcerned about appealing to a national audience.

"I'll make this work," he said.

Russo added, "I thought I was a little stale the last couple of years. I almost look at this as the second half of my career."

Chris "Mad Dog" Russo, former star of the "Mike and the Mad Dog" show, has signed a five-year contract to headline a new sports talk channel available on both Sirius and XM satellite radio, the company announced this morning.

Russo, who helped popularize the sports talk format, made national news recently when he left his popular show.

Sirius channel 123 and XM channel 144 will relaunch as Mad Dog Radio, a reformatted channel that will include sports talk, interviews, news and broadcasts of sporting events.

Russo will host the channel's anchor program, "The Mad Dog Sports Show," which will begin airing on Sept. 15.

It will be the first original show available both on Sirius and XM.
