Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Time for the Mets to get the bad taste out of their mouths after having blown the lead, then me, then Vic. Blech. The good news is that the Phils lost last night so no ground was lost. And we're playing the last-place Nationals, and we always beat the last place Nationals.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 As relayed in the Snooze today with lefty Odalis Perez going for the Nats, look for Castro to start or else reside deeper in Manuel's doghouse. Apparently, the medical staff doesn't think Castro's ankle is bad enough to warrant the disabled list, but Castro tells Jerry he's unable to go, and Jerry tells the media that Castro's a pussy.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Delgado knocks in Evans and Beltran...2 - 0 Mets.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Keith complaining about being up in the rafters of National Stadium , Zimmerman gets the Nats on the board , 2 - 1 Mets.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Three hits in a row. That happens once a month for Washington.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Tied ball game.....they are slapping Santana around.Gary took a shot at Castro tonight when giving the line up....." Castro feeling better after Cancel hit a home run yesterday"..
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I love it when Keith gets all highfalutin and starts referencing Verdi.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Verdi and Custer referemces in the same game.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 That was a great fuckin' play by Willie Harris.Didn't he make a great play against us in another game recently? Maybe as a Brave?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Yup, as a Brave.Couldn't catch that liner by Beltran, though.Nice recovery rally, Mets.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Would have been a monster inning if not for that catch.Of course the fact that Reyes was on in the first place was a bit of a gift.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Infield hits by Reyes are the type of luck that's the residue of design.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Is Johan not too sharp tonight? I see he hasn't walked anybody, but the hits seem high.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Well, he just walked Belliard. But then he avenged Harris by getting him to ground into a double play.Santana doesn't necessarily need his best stuff. He's like Billy Mitchell. He always has a plan.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Castro shows why he's in the dog house
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Do we need the fucking Edge commercial twice in the same break, SNY?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Hey, Governor Morris.Santana hanging in there.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Game tied , I blame Buckhardt , every time he's on something happens.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Fucking hell. At least he can't blame Heilman for this one.(Yet.)
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Gary gives some not so good sounding stats that basically tell us that this team sucks after the first inning.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I blame the team. Can't be scoring three runs against this staff and expect Santanta to carry you home.Twenty five players to win.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Something happening here! Two on and none out. C'mon Carlos, push at least one across!
