Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Sixteen of his first 18 pitches had been fastballs, before finally walking Mientkiewicz on a ball four change.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Gary and Ron predicted that if the Pirates fell behind early, they'd just mail it in the rest of the way.So much for that.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Son of a .....Absolutely disgusted.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wow, we might just lose this game. Unbelievable. Actually, at this point, it is almost as if winning a game that we start out ahead is unbelievable.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Gameday says Heilman threw a first pitch fastball to Mientkiewicz -- ball. Then he throws four straight that he fouls off. 1-2 count. But then he throws another two fastballs, both out of the zone. Finally goes to the changeup, and it's ball 4.Umm...earth to Aaron/Robinson Cancel. Maybe when it's 1-2, that's the better time for the changeup?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 "He will cross his fingers and bring in Schoeneweis."The Aaron of good feeling is over.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 It's so frustrating , it's like I am sitting here at work waiting for slow arse Window's 98 to bring me the bad news.....
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Maybe the pitching coach wasn't the bleeping problem afterall.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Easley with a great play to save heilman's ass
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 At least Ben Grim has a nice long vacation to help get away from this misery , go away now and enjoy yourself for we will surely be miserable here.

Guest holychicken Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Maybe if you stop fuckin falling BEHIND every god-damn hitter you wouldn't have to groove one down the middle for an easy hit?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 5 relievers used, 4 sucked.Oh yeah, and we've scored one run since the 1st inning.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 The Mets can officially blow me.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 We deserve it for having Beltran hit cleanup vs. lefties. And having Anus Reyes as our lead pinch-hitter. And for not bothering to get bullpen help at the deadline for 2nd year in a row despite bringing back the same group and riding them into the ground over the first few months of the year
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Disgusting. This is the same crap for the second year in a row, and largely the same players in the pen, too. Hello, Omar. This...group...can't...get...it...done!It's got to be so disheartening to be one of the starters.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Wasn't Kunz the closer in NO? Seriously, why not see what he can do? Clearly Show and Heilman are incapable of getting it done.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 It's been 3-2 on Beltran for a while now. what's the deal?
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 What do you think?7-5 Pirates. Final.
