That's the one!

Danny Heep did DH for the first time in the 1986 World Series, but he was the first Designated Hitter in big league history to have those initials.

4) Good timing in that after winning a World Series ring he bounced from playoff team to playoff team: '88 Dodgers, '90 Red Sox, '91 Braves (though done before the postseason).

5) My least favorite '86 Met -- not that I disliked him, I just didn't like him as much as I loved most everybody else. My least favorite '86 Met would probably have been no worse than my sixth-favorite 1992 Met.

I have interviewed a number of 86 Mets and Danny Heep and Doug Sisk were two of the nicest guys - real guys that you could sit down and have a beer with.
