Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Well, I'm out (voted for Easley)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 That's my Reyes vote circling the drain unlikely to resurface.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Make Daddy proud, my little Aguila Monster.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I was so sure he wouldn't be an answer I subconsciously forgot to include him.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Didn't vote here but said Wright in the IGT so I lose.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I didn't vote, because I couldn't find any Dbacks listed. I am greatly pleased that I was wrong.I was searching for the original kaboom gif during Beltran's at bat. More of a desperate hope than an actual feeling or belief though.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I was one of the two Beltran votes. I stopped watching immediately after the home run, but I popped in here briefly before going to bed last night.I definitely went to bed anticipating a loss, so it was a nice surprise to hear about the win. But since I didn't see it, I still haven't fully shaken the contempt and disgust I felt at seeing Pelfrey's terrific performance go down the drain.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I saw the homer, and I still haven't shaken off the contempt and disgust.Ollie Perez owes Wagner a talking to.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I'm with Grim , I mentioned as much during the IGT that even if we won the joy for me was gone from the game , of course that was after Wagner blew it so yeah i was well happy when Beltran won it.Still there are plenty of things to be pissed about , especially getting thrown out twice at second and not getting those add on runs that the Mets have a hard time getting.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I look at it this way;we got shut out for about a 9 inning span (4th - 12th) AND had a closer serve up a soul-crushing 3R HR in the 9th but we won the game anyway!!Suxx for Pelfrey, but I ain't apologizin' for the win.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 i just voted for Beltran. what do i win?
