stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Well, here I am in the IGT, andI WASN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TODAY!Long story, don't worry, not going to tell it...
Guest KC Guests Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 The following clip contains profanity and crass content:
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Is Joe Torre out of uniform? He seems to be wearing a golf shirt instead of a regulation Dodgers jersey.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Going for the Francona or the Gibbons look?
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Chavez nails Pierre at the plate for the final out of the inning, preserving the 0-0 score.
apmorris Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Somebody wake up Torre, I think he was safe.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 He never even came close to touching the plate. Perfect throw, perfectcatch, perfect blocking of the dish.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Good call by the ump. It looked like he SHOULD have been safe, but he was clearly out. (The runner beat the ball, but Schneider blocked nicely.)
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 mets radio crew break out the dick cheney hunting jokes!
apmorris Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I'm watching from LA - Charley Steiner and Steve Lyons are only talking about the Mets. "It's not that man's (willie) fault", Lyons
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 ="SteveJRogers"]Well, here I am in the IGT, andI WASN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TODAY!Long story, don't worry, not going to tell it...Missed the bus to the Yankee fan game-watching party?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Good game so far. Mets up 2-0.Too bad I'm the only one commenting on it because I'm a bit rusty on IGT's.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Had to run over to Amazon.com to do some shopping, sorry to leave you hanging WP.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 When I was reading Dodger Blues today a poster noted how " Wright kills Penny"....hell yeah.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Brad Penny needs a change of environment. May I suggest Philadephia?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Finally a chance to use this again:
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Problem with the Bugs Bunny clip is that those guys have road jerseys.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Love taking it to LA.Probably going to be in Los Angeles when the Cubs are next weekend, but sadly won't get to any games. Mets-Pads Friday night is enough right now.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I don't see why the Dodgers don't just start Kuo against us every time. And we continue to be Blake DeWitt's bitch.Anyway I hadthe sound down trying to put down Jr. and missed the whole interference thing. SNY seemed to have went to a commercial, then cut back in just as Reyes was singling.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 The Dodgers scored a lot while I was fighting with a washing machine with an unbalanced load. Good thing the Mets have a good padding already.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Delgado should be released! A sack of baseballs would have been able to get a double play there. Carlos sucks!

When they come back, he's advancing to second and Reyes is getting to first. No "while you were away" explanation from the announcers. I suspect they may have been broadcasting the whole time, not knowing they were off the air.I rewound back to Vargas' ground out to see if I had missed anything. It was eerie; like I had skipped to another dimension somehow while those commercials were playing.I'm starting to think that our season has come; when the Mets score four runs AFTER the third out, it's the old time magic again.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Yeah Muniz. Nice to get out #3 with lead intact.
