Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Big time for Delgado. No better time to break out of a slump.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 And it's a pop up to shortstop. No DP, but no run comes home either.Easley is up.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Delgado pops up and its Easley with bases loaded...
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 When does Delgado announce his retirement?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Another pop up. (And a near collision, but the ball is caught.)Inning over.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Delgado has until Monday to get it together or I do the unthinkable and waive him from my fantasy team (not the CPF league).

HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 The ongoing suckage of Delgado is a real downer. And Easley ends the inning. Is there any reason--at all--for a pitcher to give David Wright anything to hit?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Beltran's still dangerous.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I have confidence in Beltran snapping out of it but right now he is struggling.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 and Moises Alou should be back soon. Hurry back, Moises.(on edit: I've finally reached the accompanying photograph level. I am, however, Steve Trachsel).

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Pagan kicks a ball around in right field and Fukudome scores the first run of the game. Two out, runner on second, 1-0 Cubs in the 4th.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Error or hit for Cedeno?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Hell in handbasket. How did Lilly get a single?
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Any chance the could have gotten Lily on that? Gametracker says he singled to second.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 'Cording to the radio it was Delgado not covering first that allowed Lilly to get on base.Carlos having a very bad game in the midst of a very bad season so far.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 The diabolical Reed Johnson makes it 3-0.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Delgado seemed to go for the ball, but it was fielded by Easley. Easley went to throw to first, but nobody was there. Figueroa saw that he was needed and sprinted to first and got there to catch the throw, but he didn't beat the runner.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Can't blame this one on me! Had a nice time until the eighth inning.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Lilly, after five shutout inings, has an ERA of 7.23.The Mets are apparently the only team that isn't hitting this guy.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Why don't we start hitting him now.Lets go Mets!
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Last 25 innings Mets have scored in 2 of them. Yuck.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 With one out, Beltran walks and Delgado smokes a hard single to right. It was hit so hard they almost had a force on Beltran at second.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Well, "almost" isn't all that accurate. My bad.
