In all seriousness, Hobie Landrith was the opening day catcher in 1962, Clarence "Choo Choo" Coleman was the opening day catcher in 1963 and Robert "Hawk" Taylor was the opening day catcher in 1964.

Each of the hitters homered in his first Met game (i think it was even the first at bat for all of them but not sure), i can only assume mota allowed a homer in his first game as a met and that is what ties him in to the others.
did i get it?
