Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 This Belliard is being a fuckin pain in the ass!Didn't anybody explain to these guys that they all have like .310 OBAs??
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Belliard greets Wags with a lead off single.Grrrrrr
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I don't know what the fuck to say anymore.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 motherfatherI have never seen a team fold like this
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 If the Nationals play the Phillies this tough (which of course they won't) we'll be okay.I don't want to spew any venom here, but in 37 years as a Mets fan, I don't think I've ever seen them with a worse pitching staff than they've had this month.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Jeez take your time there David.I really did think Wagner would give up a crooked number. My negative vibes are to blame.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 There's not much baseball left this year. We may as well pray for a rally.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Why do I have this suspicion that we're about to explode for [u:f8cd4022ea]Exactly[/u:f8cd4022ea] two runs?
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I going to stop following baseball until the playoff starts, I think. This is excrutiating.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Yea,...even right after his worst outing, which last wasn't, you feel a measure of comfort when Wags comes on.But he screwed the pootch tonight.Gets the DP.Hey, all we need is 4 in the 9th tonight! We can do that-piece a stroodle.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Well, we're watching ... so let's hope they can sac up through three more outs.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 All right Metsies, this is how many runs we need:
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Aylalalala to close for the Nats?hmmmm.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Have you guys ever been this down about the team? Maybe after game 7 last year but never in the regular season. This is an historic collapse, and yeah, it can turn around tomorrow but why should it? Pedro isn't going 9 so eventually, the bullpen door opens and all hell breaks loose. It's not the hitting, despite Reyes' struggles, it's all pitching. Other than Ollie last Saturday, the starters can't go 7 or 8 and the bullpen can't do anything right. We sensed it in the off-season when Omar didn't get another starter, but we said "In Omar We Trust." He lost Bradford when the stupid Orioles gave him 3 years and the Mets wouldn't but we fell in love with Joe Smith. We sensed that something was wrong when he gave Mota 2 years but, again, we trusted Omar. That fat faced, smug, jerk Boden (they keep showing him on MASN sitting in the box seats) wanted F. Martinez or Gomez and Humber for Cordero or Rauch. We said "too much" but if they had either, maybe the pen could have gotten a key out sometime last week. I think it's safe to safe that our trust in Omar has greatly diminished.I'm venting and rambling and I apologize, but it's like seeing the same game, over and over, for two weeks straight. 3 and a half hours of hell.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 A 3 K day from Castillo -- that's usually about 2 weeks worth.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 BOOOoOOOOOoooOOOoooOooOOOOooooOOooOoOOOOOOOoooooOOoooOoThey don;t play hard for 9 innings.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I'm sick. Absolutely sick.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Night, guys.Go get 'em Pedro. He's the stopper, and our bats need to keep it pen-proof.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Castllo pounding the shit out of the bench.A fitting image as I turn my tv off, Peterson shrugging at Willie.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Good night gentlemen. Sorry for the verbose post. It's nice know that there are many others with the same feelings. I wonder if they are hurting in the clubhouse, too.
