Did Howie say Carlos Muniz in #8?

Wasn't listening to WFAN but they said on SNY a day or two ago that he was wearing 38.

Marlins retake the lead on a ground ball single by Linden. Marlins at first and second with 1 out.

Willie pulls Feliciano in favor of Sosa.

Humber will get the start Wednesday.

Beltran looked hobbled to say the least.
Limping down the dugout steps.

I think that'll be all for him today.

Nationals are up 5-2 and still rallying in the 8th.

How about that last appearance ever for Jeff Conine in Florida?

No interest in catching that pop, Florida?

REYES!
Your lucky they can't catch.
Take ball 4 if they give it to you.

Jose flies out to deep center and Chavez tags to third.

Come on guys, we need this run...

The Nationals go to the botom of the ninth with a 5-2 lead over the Phillies. The Phillies have their big guns (Utley - Bourne - Howard - Rowand) due up in the ninth.

Utley opens with a ground rule double. Come on Cordero!

Cordero K's pinch hitter Victorino.

Thats Utley's 47th double of the season, Doc.
Howard bats with one out there

Mota on for the Mets.
Lets keep it at a one run deficit Mr.Mota.

You know what I always like to see? Guillermo Mota in the game. He always makes me feel so comfortable that we'll get to see a nice, long inning with lots of runs.

Rowand just singled in a run, its 5-3 Nats.
Still only one out there, 1st and 2nd for the Phils.

This was his 4th? 5th? consecutive scoreless inning.

In Washington, Howard walks and Rowand singles. Utley scores and Howard goes to second. Wes Helms facing Cordero.

Grab some pine Helms. Cordero strikes him out with a ball in the dirt. One out to go, then it will be up to the Mets to do their part.

Is it any worse a feeling than seeing Reyes batting in a RBI spot?

Werth strikes out swinging for the final out in Washington. The Nationals win by a score of 5-3.

NATS WIN! NATS WIN!

Let's hope that's the last time we see that until Friday.

Nats used 7 pitchers and Cordero threw 30 pitches to get the save so maybe the 'pen will be tired tomorrow.

Okay, now it's time for the Mets to assert themselves and win this game.

Wright opens the 8th with a walk and pinch hitter deluxe, Marlon Anderson singles to put runners at the corners with no outs. Alou in an RBI situation.
