Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Play the Mets hard and then lie down and die for the Phillies. All of a sudden this Philadelphia bullpen is untouchable.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 They played the Mets as if the games were the WS--which they should. Acta PH for hit pitcher in the 3d inning on Tuesday and used 8 pitchers. I put it on tonight and see the Nationals with a runner on 3d, no out, and they don't score. The Phillies just hit an IF grounder to the right side and the pitcher didn't cover.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Author Posted September 22, 2007 And now he walks in a run. They better suck this bad at Shea next week.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 They are just giving this game away now. Victorino grounds to first, and Nat pitcher Colome doesn't bother to cover the base. Then he walks in a run.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Wow.Great play at the plate nails Helms of the Phils. But the Phils do score another. Its 4-1.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Phils win.Fuckin Nationals.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 I wouldn't have it any other way.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Yeah, really. Eliminated teams should pull out all the stops against the contenders.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Agreed. Which made it more upsetting when Edmonds and Pujols missed the last two games against the Phillies. And WMPena was out last night for Washington... and he's out again today.http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=270923120
