No Paulie, Moises, Carlos D. or Jose. According to John Delcos:

I don't like to hear about twinges. Hopefully the Mets won't need Delgado until early October. I wouldn't mind resting him for a few extra days as a precaution.

Among regulars, Green is also sitting today.

Gotay, batting in front of Killedge. The Willie philosophy: Make a prospect earn his place.

Let's not forget the Redleg lineup:

Hamilton cf
Gonzalez ss
Griffey Jr. rf
Phillips 2b
Dunn lf
Valentin c
Encarnacion 3b
Votto 1b
Shearn p

Griffey plays day game following night game.

What's with Griffey saying that he hopes when he hits # 600 that it's not in Cincinnati ,tough break for Delgado, finally puts together some good games in a row and now might sit for a few.

I went out looking for six all the time. Then I got this nasty STD.

With Castillo's knee, it wouldn't have killed WWSB to start Marlon at 2b, since we're going with the b-team anyway.

I think Elster was in a killing mood.

My gameday just told me that Beltran bunted the first pitch foul. He had best have been doing that to psych the other team out...and for no other reason.

For the last two weeks, the Mets seemed really determined to come back and win from 5 run deficits. Maybe today is the day it happens.

I can see Pedro, Hernandez, Glavine and Perez all having better Septembers than him, which could mean that Maine will be this October's Darren Oliver.

That's not a prediction, by the way, but a possibility.

And maybe the Braves can do that too.

I decide to root for Tim Hudson and this is how he thanks me?

He's an idiot.
