Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 GreenChavezMarlonGotayConineCastro soon?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Don't expect Castro back real soon I hear. I hafta say Omar did do a good job turning the bench from a shitty one to a pretty one.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Is Valentin still trying to rehab or did he go under the knife?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 - Castro just recently starrted doing 'light baseball activities', or something along those lines. Didn't sound like he'd be back anytime soon.- Valentin was just told today (Forgot where I heard this) that his season is essentially over, that the chipped bone won't heal in time to allow him to play again this year.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Alomar went to Bingo for the last weekend of the season, suggesting (to me, at least) that they didn't want him to go far, nor for the current New Orleans catchers (Wooten and Cancel) to miss opportunities as they prepare for the PCL playoffs.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 I would like to have Anderson Hernandez around for pinch running but I'm fairly certain he's the only NO player who can play shortstop.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 the reason alomar went to Binghampton is that when their season ends he's free to come up regardless of the 10 day rule (can't come back within 10 days except due to injury). Their season ends this weekend, Alomar's back after it.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 Is this an educated guess? Or did you read it somewhere? Or do you actually know Omar?

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Carlos Gomez could be back fairly soon. He's doing the minor league rehab games (playing tonight for New Orleans in the playoffs).
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I always said Johnny Bench had a lotta balls.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 That is the picture that caught my attention in the seventies. It was like the fat twins on the motor scooters in the Guinness Book.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 ...while the rest of the world was looking at Cheryl Tiegs or something.
