yea, that was allwright.

I feel a sense of post season like atmosphere here for the first time this season.

....Or is it just me, the guy who only gets to see like a dozen reg season Met games this yr :(

OK, ill stop whining about that.

Wright's awesomeness on at the plate more than makes up for the dumbth of getting picked off.

Hopefully, that doesn't spark a patented Maine Meltdown.

Urg. That 3-1 pitch was close, then the 3-2 was way up and out. Come on, JM. Hang in there.

And another foul on what would have been ball four.

I can't decided whether I like the Dodgers new road uniform, or whether they need the white outline on the lettering.

The LA patches need to go.

So are we at odds whether Milledge or Alomar blew that play? Radio guys seem to think it was Milledge's fault.

ESPN has a billion cameras at the game but have yet to show us whether Alomar was tardy and/or wishy-washy as Milledge approached. What we saw looked like indecisiveness, but I can't say for sure. What appears to be the case was Milledge didn;t see him until too late.

No doubt, but I'm not enojoying the 30-steal boundness of his season so much, with pitchers catching him more than catchers.

Ms. Wolf: "Isn't Jeff Kent kind of a dick?"
Me: "Yeah, kinda."
Ms. Wolf: "Well, then maybe it's okay that they hit him."

Kendall, Lieberthal, Piazza --- a lot of once-good catchers hitting bottom this year.

My take on Milledge/Alomar:
- Sandy waiving him in as he approaches 3rd
- Lastings sees that and puts his head down to chug harder right as Sandy puts up the stop sign
- by the time he picks him up again ... well, it was just too fucking late.

Making outs on the basepaths suxx
