Guest cleonjones11 Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I'll be interested to see how our 3 Carlos' handle the ace lefty..
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Don't let the record fool you, Santana has been good. In his 6 losses, 5 times he gave up 3 runs or less. In the other one, he gave up 4. I hope Sosa's on his game.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Wow, Jason Tyner. For some reason, I semi-vividly recall watching Baseball Tonight and finding out about the Tyner/Paul Wilson for Bubba Trammell/Rick White trade. Also, Tyner just reminded me of another marginally talent, left handed, white centerfielder. Jeff Duncan, where the hell are you now?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Duncan was killed in his sleep by MacBeth.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Fun Jason Tyner Fact: His middle name, Renyt, is "Tyner" spelled backwards, per Wikipedia.Unpleasant Jason Tyner Fact: He just singled home a run, 2-0 Twins.

Maybe I'll start a thread about "Mets You LIked For A Long, Long Time Until You Realized They Couldn't Play MLB Any Better Than Your Cat."Good old number 61.5-0 Twinkies.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Three errors? The fuck?Get Duncan out of there.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 What the heck are you guys going on about?Anyways, I didn't expect to put up much against JS ... but jeez it would bea lot more fun staying tuned in if they weren't getting shellacked too.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Jeff Duncan: .222/.328/.222 for your Syracuse Chiefs (AAA-Toronto).(Yes, slugging=batting. All 26 of his hits this year are singles).
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I just got a tiny Live Free or Die Hard commercial in the corner of the screen. Was that on SNY or is it just tacked on by MLB.tv?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 All I ever see on SNY is the fat girl advertising Daisy Mae's BBQ and the fat-armed woman bullshitting me about the luxuriousness with which the car salesman at the Lexus dealership will show me.My screen just showed Johan Santana get a double.
Guest cleonjones11 Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 My screen is now showing The deadliest catch on discovery...Sleep well Sele
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 My screen is going to be showing 'House' reruns in a few minutes.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 the wheels on the bus fall off the busoff the bus off the busthe wheels on the bus fall off the busoh, woe to us.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 OK, down by 9, bottom 9th but we got the top of the order up and their guy is tired. If I were wearing a cap right now, it would be inside out or uipside down (Reyes singles... we're off)
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Complete game, four hits and ninty two pitches...a Mets disgrace.....oh and the errors.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Willie should contact Art Howe for tips on throwing garbage cans.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 If you're going to pitch like shit and field like shit at least it's good to do it on a night when Santana's pitching and you're going to hit like shit too.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Certainly the healthiest way to look at it short of temples exploding or pop bottles being thrown at tv screens.Still, I'm waiting for this team to pull together and make a statement andthe one they're working on right now just ain't doing it for us.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 Going it, I thought Sunday's loss was our worst loss of the year.Guess not.I guess I was glad to see the best pitcher in baseball have his best outing of the year. Woulda been ok, maybe, with a 2-0 or 3-1 loss. But not the steaming pile of crap they put up tonight.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
