Binghamton had its entire opening four-game series in Akron postponed, some days for snow, others for "cold."

My 10 year-old's LL team has now played as many games as the Indians with another scheduled for this afternoon.

Indians and Seattle hoping to play two today,MLB afraid of more cancellations are thinking of altering the schedule and sending the Indians to Anaheim for that series supposed to start tomorrow night in Cleveland.

they should really start the season with division games whereever possible, they're so much easier to make up later on if necessary because the team will be back in town at least twice

True, but since four of the six divisions have an odd number of teams, there are always going to be a bunch of games played between divisions.

My friend is a huge Indians fan and already took vacay in May for the series out here w/ the Angels. He's hoping Mother Nature knocks it off and lets the kids play this week.

yeah but you can put those in southern cities, in particular i'd want FLA to play lots of home games in April because the place is unbearable over the summer.

Not anymore, Selig's daughter sold it prior to last year to Mark Attanasio.

19,031. Attendance for the Indians "home game" in Milwaukee. Not sure if the fans in Milwaukee are that good, or they just wanted to see a really good game for once. That's a lot of peeps in the stands.

Heard a report on NPR this morning saying that there are a bunch of transplanted Clevelanders in Milwaukee and they enjoyed the novelty of seeing their favorite team playing a home game without having to travel back to Cleveland.

I would guess that just about every Indians fan in Wisconsin made an effort to get there. (I wouldn't have guessed that there would be even close to 19,000 such people, though.)

between Indians-fans-in-exile, milwaukee fans who just wanted to see a game, miscellaneous baseball fans in the area and cleveland fan who thought this was a great time for a road trip i think 19k is a fair turnout, i'd have expected less if i was making a guess beforehand but this isnt that crazy
how far IS cleveland from milwaukee? i know if the Mets had to play a home game in Baltimore or Pittsburgh I'd try my best to be there.

Good point. And there are probably more such fans in Chicago than in Milwaukee. (Only because I imagine that Chicago is a more tempting city to relocate to.)

Tickets are also being sold for $10 meaning that casual baseball fans can go see a MLB game without spending an arm and two legs for tickets.

I don't care about the Indians or the Angels, but I'm only a little over an hour away from Miller Park...if it wasn't for the raging snowstorm we've been having all day, I would have seriously considered driving to see a game tonight at those prices.

You can get in the gates, top deck tickets are $13 apiece, outfield bleachers for $16, outfield box are $24 and infield box are $32 and up.

Myself, I like box seats...and for the Indians games, all tickets are $10 on a first come first serve basis.

at least at Shea i would choose the "bad" seats over field level. my favorite seats are the front rows of mezzanine behind the plate. if its a day game i'd even prefer to be further back under the overhang.

I don't mind being up if it's behind the plate. The best seats still available for tonight's game are seats comparable to Shea's inner loge section...which are good seats in either park. Those tickets are normally $36 for Brewers' games. If I were to go tonight with my wife and kid it would be $38 for all of us to get in the gates after parking. If I wanted those same seats for a Brewers game it would be $116. I imagine the $78 savings for pretty good views of MLB action is why the attendence has been decent for these games...although the attendence did dip to 16,000+ on Wednesday.

The annual 'Patriots Day' game in Boston was first delayed - from its usual 10AM starting time to noon - and now canceled. This had to fuck up not only the AL sked (Angels now have FIVE games to make up in cities they're not sked to visit again) but also a lot of Bostonites drinking plans for this state holiday.

They are, however, running the marathon despite heavy rains and strong EAST winds for a race run almost entirely west to east. Oooh that's gonna be a bitch. Some 112 lb Kenyan might be seen airborn over eastern Mass sometime today.
