Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Monday Oct. 27th, 1986 and after my Mom gets home from work she decides then of all days to take my clothes shopping! I'm of course freaking out because I fear we won't get back in time for the last game of the World Series. Pretty irrational since then like now the game didn't start until 8:30. Anyhow, I did get this cool new shirt - blue with darkish blue stripes - and put it on when I got home and wore it while watching the game. After the Mets won the World Series, I considered that my lucky shirt and wore every chance I could get. I wore the thing to death, even when I was in college and there were holes in the elbows. Finally, I convinced myself to throw it out.I wish I had my lucky shirt tonight.
