Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Nice job by Reyes to make Kuo throw so many pitches by fouling them off.

Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Nothing small about Paul's double. That was a frozen rope!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Excellent at bat by Reyes---makes Kuo throw lots. His groundout draws 1st blood.1-0 Mets. And LoDuke with the ground rule double! He spanked that ball.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 great, Sealy is warming up in the pen.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Dodger bullpen warming up in the 3rd. I likes it!

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 That K of Beltran was Kuo's 61st pitch. It would've been nice to get another run and maybe get him the hell out of the game there.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 ="vtmet"]="Hillbilly"]Shinjo was better than expected, so was Yoshii.but the point of what I was getting at, the guys that we scouted and signed were either marginally good, or a disappointment...these other teams have come up with guys that have made a difference...look at the Kaz/Iguchi comparison, Kaz was much higher rated than Iguchi...yet Kaz did little positive, Iguchi's been solid 2 years in a row...Let's not talk about these other teams. Plenty of teams have scouted and invested in foreign professional talent that hasn't succeeded. The Mets are here because a lot of decisions have been successful.Did you see that ball clear Lofton's head? Young Lofton gets to that and squares his shoulders back to the infield. So does the current Carlos Beltran. This team has Kenny Lofton in center and Marlon Anderson in left. I'm happy with the Mets' choices right now.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Beltran's out in front a lot. Same deal last night. The good news is, he's still judging the strike zone pretty well and is able to get on base, but he's going to need to get his timing down ASAP. I predict it will happen at Dodger Stadium. What's the deal with Beltran at Shea?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I agree with all of ya---lets get in thier bullpen ASAP.Nomar with the infield hit--but---looks like he came up lame.Wouldnt mind seein him head to the showers as well.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I repeat. Isn't Martin wearing Hershiser's number?I guess it shouldn't surprise me, but it do.Way to swinng 3-0, silly boy.
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Thanks for swinging away rookie!
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Yes!Way to work around it, Tommy.

Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I thought both wright and cliff had it, but then again I'm as huge homer.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Floyd murdered that ball. That's Shea Stadium and a breezy Flushing night for you.Breezy Flushing Nights could be the name of a soft-core porn movie.
