Maddux,Lowe,Kuo,Penny...hot team

Oliver Perex Glavine and a pile of AAA pitchers. Another Yankee World series...

Typical Mets since 1962

look I love the Mets and Rutgers Football..Mets since 65.....This pitching mess just fits in so well it's like Dick Gallo wrote the cartoon and Dick Young said we were finished in the seventies Daily News.

I can't help myself..I'm so dissapointed..

Just cause Duque's down doesn't mean the Dodgers are all of a sudden world beaters.

It's not like Koufax and Drysdale still pitch for them.

Maddux, Lowe and Penny are not invincible by any stretch and I still think Little's gonna get burned by starting the rookie.

Glavine should be able to give us 5 or 6 innings, Maine's been more than serviceable and its not out of the realm of possibility to get a gem from Trax.

I'd be more concerned if we made it to the next round and still were w/o Duque.

Bring the Dodgers on, the only reason they are in the playoffs in the first place is becase they got hot at the right time in a mediocre league.

Good lord, you're an adult?
That was like my third guess.

]Dick Gallo wrote the cartoon

Any relation to Bill Gallo?

I think Cleon=Bret.

The alias is Bret's way of making himself look like a rational, reasonable dissenter.

Wow. I don't know that namecalling one of our most respected posters is the answer. I'm always up for intelligent, two-sided discussion; that's pretty low.

Any relation to Jerry Callo?

I refuse to believe that our pitching is that much worse than the Dodgers...and IMO, it's not a battle of pitcher vs pitcher...it's a battle of how our offense hits their pitching vs how their offense hits our pitching...so even if their pitching is better than ours, our hitting is still superior to theirs (except for when they throw a no-name lefty at us)...

I don't want to believe it either. But it's probably true.

The starting pitching at least.

Unless, of course, WIllie and Omar were to completely lose their minds and decide to give Jose Lima a start.

The horrors that sometimes invade my mind before my morning coffee.

Daily News is saying this morning that Oliver Perez will be on the postseason roster.

Ugh.

I hope he doesn't get into any games. While he can sometimes pitch well, he's more likely to be awful on any given day.

Lima......isn't......really......here.....is he? Please say no

True. But I don't mind having a wild card pitcher in our wings. Willie's played his cards pretty well this year, and he's earned a little trust from me.

And hey, it's the playoffs. Anything can happen.
