Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 A lot of action this week. Most notable is the promotion of my Serfass to AA, and the exchange of the Co's, with Corey Coles promoted to Binghamton, and the sadly overanticipated Ambiorix Concepcion demoted to St. Lucie. It's almost like the Mets sent down an edict: "Demote everyone named Ambiorix. That is all."Savannah SandgnatsLow ASt. Lucie MetsHigh ABinghamton MetsAANew Orleans ZephyrsAAANew York MetsMLBPITCHERSJonathan CastilloMatthew DurkinEmary FrederickDavid KoonsRyan MeyersJeremy MizellGreg MullensJulio PolancoNelson PortilloJoshua StinsonTobi StonerTimothy StronachCATCHERSSean McCrawFrancisco PenaINFIELDERSJake EigstiJuan Lagares vHector PellotLuis RiveraJoshua TholeGreg VelozLeivi VenturaD.J. Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Johnson is no longer disabled in New Orleans, also.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Good point. More small print I add, the more I have to edit later, I guess.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Moises to the DL to make room for Vargas.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Added to Diasabled ListPromoted from New OrleansOutfieldersStarting PitchersAlouVargasYup, and it's retroactive to May 13, meaning he's eligible to play (on paper, anyway) on May 28.We also have the full organizational roster changes, as best as I can sort them out, belowCheck it out. Guillermo Mota is pitching. So is Waner Mateo, for that matter.Juan Lagares and Jake Eigsti seem to be switching back and forth between Savannah and the extended spring training camp in St. Lucie. I can't really blame them, as Savannah is awful so far at 9-23.2007 MetsStarting PitchersGlavineMainePerezSosaVargas
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Misc. updates -- Juan Padilla was moved to the 60-day disabled list as of 5/5 (source: official Mets press notes).Park accepted his assignment to AAA.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 And, I found out about Abreu. His is in EST because he is having visa problems. He can't get a worker visa, so he can't participate in any games where admission is charged. No word on how long it will take to get the issue resolved.Later

Very nice.A good bet to make with a Yankee fan right now would be about who gives their team more in 2007: Clemens or Martinez.OK, that would be a bad bet, but a fun one.2007 MetsStarting PitchersGlavineO. metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Will Mota get activated for the Giants series,if so who will be jettisoned?
Guest sharpie Guests Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Um, it was Vargas and not Sosa who was optioned to N'awlins.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 That makes sense, Yancy. Will Mota need to do a few rehab innings in New Orleans or will he be ready to face batters as soon as he is activated?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Mota's already been given permission to pitch for New Orleans and has been in seven games. I should add that he's done poorly.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Thanks for the heads up. I guess I need to pay closer attention to the happenings with the Mets minor league teams.

duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 how pissed would you be if you were lastings milledge right now .he's supposed to be about a week or so away from being ready, at that point Green'll be back up and possibly alou shortly after. If he just hadn't got injured he'd have got 100 or so at bats and may well have got a chance to kick start his career.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 What is the status of Duaner? Is there any chance he's back this year?Williams?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 If we get to a point where we need Dave Williams I think we'll be in real trouble.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Need a picture of the mustacheless Valentin.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Schoeneweis better do something fast to start earning the McGraw spot. His contract is three years guaranteed, but the McGraw Chair is not.
