stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Reyes return. Heh, only a few years back morons on WFAN and ESPN Radio would have suggested Reyes would be sidelined for the year and it was a career threatning injury! "Oh but he won't be able to grip the bat right!"

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Keith said that Reyes has "vowed never to slide head-first again". I think he must have meant into first.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Yeah I think he meant into first base, we'll see how long that lasts, sounds like an easy bet to win with reyes.
Guest KC Guests Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Is reminiscing about what morons might have called radio stations about two years ago less moronic that the act of reminising about these things in an IGT on the internet? Just asking.Golly, I hope I spelled reminiscing right or I'm gonna look all doody-headed.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Reyes' last swing looked awful, but maybe I only think that because he popped up.13 pitches to the first two hitters, so far.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 A Cohen Fun-Fact:Delgado: .454 with 15 RBI in the 9-1 road trip..192 with 8 RBI since.(21 games)__________________________________________A weak K.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Reyes grimacing in pain with every play.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Mediumly hit grounder. Reyes back hands but throws wide. Delgado's swipe tag missed.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Delgado goes for the smooth behind-the-back swipe. Doesn't work. Still looked cool
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Reyes got yelled at for not wearing a hat while taking grounders today.

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 First and third with two out: HELL of a stop by LoDuca. The curve was literally five feet outside. Lo Duca caught it on one hop cleanly to save a run.And the runner on first was stealing so Lo Duca was preparing to hop up. Great play that would never be remembered, but for the Crane Pool IGTs.
