Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I just wanted to say I don't think the Mets should trade for Odaliz Perez.G'nite all.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I dunno if anyone said it yet but that a big fat hairy win.We scored like Fonzie with a makeshift lineup, survived subpar appearances from Glavine and Sanchez, and didn't give in despite nearly blowing it to a pretty good offensive opponent.I fell asleep about halfway through this one and was convinced I'd awake this morning to only discover that Seo had bitched us up and the pitching wasn't tough enough to hold on.Nice win Mets!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 The Mets "battled" for this win, a team of battlers you might say.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Who was that fat guy wearing Jae Seo's uniform?

I would've felt the same way except I dozed off after Milledge's blast so I at least had the 3 run cushion to take me to dreamland.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I have to have a Dodger Dog before I die. Is there anything special about them besides the name and history?
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Its been so long since I've had one - 1989 or 90 I think - I can't remember what they taste like just that they are good ballpark dogs.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I had one. . . nothing special, IMO, other than the name. Kind of like a "Fenway Frank."
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I had one in 1993. It was fine, but no better than a Nathan's frank.
apmorris Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 ]ap- were you at all three games? games 2 and 3. two crazy ass games. ]That picture taken from where your seats are? yep. and yes, a dodger dog is nothing but a regular hot dog.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 As the joke goes:The difference between a D.... dog and a Yankee Frank is that for the past few years they have served Yankee Franks in October. (Thankfully, not too far into that month)Later
