Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I really liked that thing they did before every game last year.Right before the Mets took the field they would do a montage of every Met's head and name, with accompanying get hyped music.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 "ellow Submarine" sounds like something the PA booth came up with for Bradford. I'm betting we'll also here "Down Under" before the year is out.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Pelfrey, Bradford, and Heilman all using intro songs older than them.Julio Franco considered going that route also but he couldn't find an original copy of Cosi Fan Tutte
Guest sharpie Guests Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I noticed that Heilman had different music playing on Sunday (can't remember what). His trot to first base no doubt caused by his ditching "London Calling" (the best entrance music ever).
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 They should play the 59th Street Bridge song for Heilman. "Slow down, you move too fast..."
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 i couldn't stop giggling on Saturday when they played the theme from SANFORD AND SON for Cliff Floyd, as he hobbled to the plate.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Shawn Green walked to the plate to "Be Yourself" by Audioslave in the fifth inning tonight. Don't recall if that's been every time up.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 And it's Mr. Green with "What Would You Say" by DMB in the eighth.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Lately Chad Bradford has been coming in to The Fray's "Over My Head (Cable Car)."Isn't that what you should be playing when the other team's reliever comes in?

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I love the song. I love the freakin' album. But that is NOT what you play for your own reliever! He shouldn't be in over his head with 8 seconds left in overtime - that applies to the other team!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2006 Author Posted August 25, 2006 Thanks for the updates. I caught the DMB but we were only able to identify the song as Audioslave for Green.Bradford's been using that song for more than a month now. Yellow Submarine was used on Wednesday, but only because it was "Beatles Night."Any idea as to what song they used for when Bannister came to bat? It sounds very much like it's a hair-metal type band from the 80s but I can't ID it. It's one of the generic "you haven't chosen anything so we use this" songs.

Any additional information welcomed! Here you go - ]For example, every time Carlos Beltran steps to the plate this song "Eres Aqui" comes on. I don't understand a word of it, but I like it. It's catchy. Apparently so does Beltran who has 33 home runs and 96 RBI.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I'm also attempting to research whether the song could be "Y Es Aqui", but I'm not getting anywhere so far with that.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 Thanks Scarlet Knight, but that's the report I was referring to. Still no luck finding an artist, where that source got that title from, etc.
