Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I heard that! Reyes goes deep tie game.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 That was nice.It was even a strike he hit.

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 bleh. Going into tonight's game, Kaz had a .494 OPS. As recently as this off-season, I thought he was a replacement-level 2B at a minimum. Now, I wish we had someone competent in the minors so we could shit-can him and eat his salary. Hernandez isn't competent, IMO, and given that Matsui's defense has improved, I'd rather have Matsui.Holy shit.

You're the one who's getting upset because I'm giving half-compliments. If you take the time to read (and comprehend, which may be beyond your ability) before you post, you might actually see the post where I agree with this exact comment by ABNS.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 New theme song idea: "Meet the Mets, bitches."

I think having these two tools do the game is making harder for me to enjoy the game. But I am enjoying making fun of them.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Over/Under for Gonzales to give the lead back: 8 minutes.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Funny, Willie's singing the same song about Matsui that he sang about Hernandez, essentially, "We're winning and the defense is there. He has to produce, but I'll be patient."Kaz Matsui, blessed by the same reasoning that once damned him.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Ok for real, how much longer are they going to leave him in?
Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I agree, pull him and try and win this game.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 As much as some would like to believe that only the Mets wanted Kaz, there were other teams that wanted him to, and one former Met manager gave him a huge endorsement.Maybe scouting ballplayers is completely a guessing game.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Heath Bell and El Duque are on their way. Everyone on the bullpen take an inning and give this team a chance.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 A ripped line drive to Kazuo, Vittorino doubled off second. Let's hope this keeps happening. Hit the shots at someone.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Utley stole second.DON'T walk Burrell, Gonzalez. You'll just piss off Howard.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 As the founder of TORVO, I don't want to make a huge deal of this, but has Lo Duca thrown one would-be base stealer out this year? Two?
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Well, shit.Nevermind. Howard flies out to end the inning.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Midget Mets?!? Who and what?

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Russo -- not as terrible as I imagined he'd have been.Francessa is worse, doing PBP. He botched the stolen base so badly I had no idea what happened.
