Lo Duca was hot from the balk call-- watch the way he fires the ball back to Lima shortly after that BS. Not surprised he exploded at all.

you may have something there.
The play is then dead

does anyone know the actual rule for this?
When a player is tossed isnt the play dead?
Why no argument from the mets there?.Can anyone confirm if that rule applies?

Wait, I thought they DID call the play dead. Isn't that why Cox was ejected?

Re: the dead ball issue, I was in the car when they said Eddie C. asked
the official scorer who wasn't sure but they asked an ump who was in the
booth with him and the ump said LoDuca was still eligible to make the play?

Weird stuff. Can't wait to see the replay.

These guys are outdoing each other for verbal ineptness. Hernandez says he remembers Jim Hickman playing for the Giants, which he never did, and then Gary opines that Hickman was the Mets' first HR hitter, forgetting about Frank Thomas.

these days they just rush to fill the air.
Like Colbert says, "the facts?, they dont matter on my show."

Keith's prize was him remembering trying to get the ball from David Cone despite the fact the play took place after he retired.

Blame it on whomever is their Chris Majokowski (the WFAN facts runner) for not leaving the Mets media guide or a recent baseball encylopedia, or having baseball-reference.com at their fingertips

wow-Zambrano out for the season.
Anyone see Baseball Tonight last night?--with the talk of the Milledge/Zito trade?

It was great-they are all saying the Mets gotta do it and they get Cliffy on the phone for support and he says "NO!"
"The Mets dont have to do that and shouldnt. Bring up Pelfry."

No, I just want the LeRoy Niemann Seaver painting to be up on my SJR posts for a little while longer

I like it better than the Seaver post that this handle got, that one that was done when Seaver was a Red

I do believe Keith just called Lima a loosy goosy.

That bat boy has slower reflexes than my dearly departed grandmother.

Costs us a run as the Braves score on a sac fly following that stooled triple..

wow BULLSHIT strike 3 on Castro, Angel Hernandez must really hate the Mets.

well thats that.

message to willie: please don't use a pitcher we care about the rest of the way.

Floyd's most effective means of getting on base right now is getting hit with pitches.

They're scoring that a hit? That explains Matsui's defensive stats.

Are you fucking serious, Bret?

I mean, you did watch that play, right?

message from willie: which pitchers dont you care about? Ill warm em all up.

OMG--Nady pulls a boner (I mean that in a non gay way).
That was just a horrible misplay.
Awful.
Maybe thatll get Smoltz tired, all that going from base to base to home plate.

And what a feakiy heads up play by Fortunato on that Chipper squiggler.
gets the guy rounding 3rd.
Wow--Ive never seen a play quite like that one before.

Francouer knocks one in with a single, and we are gettin WHUPPED folks.

10-1 Braves.

Fortunato pulled, pretty horrible that he couldn't even eat these blowout innings up.
personally i'd have left him in. its already 10-1 so what do i care if he makes it 14-1? he's going down tommorow anyway
