nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 ANOTHER wild throw by Cain advances a runner to 2B.LETS GO KAZ, GET THIS TIED!
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 FSN Bay Area very interested in showing bored children in the stands.
Guest abogdan Guests Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 This is where you pinch hit for Chavez.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Kaz's hits this season - other than his HR - haven't exactly been things of beauty, but it's a start.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Matsui safe at first on a bad throw by Vizcaino (he should have pocketed the ball for an infield hit and not risked an error to score Nady), the run doesnt score obviously but at least the inning is extended.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Run your little legs off Kaz!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Kaz gets his hit. The run doesn't score via heroism by Vizcaino. Does his rep score?

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 Good lord, TAKE A FREAKIN' PITCH, Chavez! With a runner in scoring position in a one-run game, you pinch hit for .194 hitters.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 WHAT THE FUCK? WHY IS CHAVEZ HITTING FOR HIMSELF THERE?IF BELTRAN CAN'T BE USED THERE SEND HIM TO THE DL and get us anotger guy who can play CF so that we can at least use Franco in that spot and put a defendive sub in afterwards.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Nymr83 wrote:IF BELTRAN CAN'T BE USED THERE SEND HIM TO THE DL you have a good point.thought the same thing last game.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 i gave them a pass on the last game because they thought he'd e ready to play soon, well its not soon enough, the end of the SD series should have been the end of any reasonable waiting period. DL HIM.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Glavines up to 104 pitches.but this is his last inning, and its all his to get out of.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 3-0 to Lance Niekro with Bonds on deck? Niekro should be seeing a steady diet of fastballs this year not 3-0 counts. He singles on the 3-1 pitch to bring a run home.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 This road trip sucks. Other than the Pedro game and the 8th inning last Thursday, these guys have been painful to watch.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I love these late west coast games. Always have. Win or lose.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 West coast trips usually go this way. They'll walk Bonds with one out which i wouldn't do already down 2 runs, now you NEED a DP or the game is essentially over.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I don't understand this. The guy is hitting .220, is about as great a double play candidate you could ask for, and instead they load the bases to give Heilman no safety net to a guy who has already jacked a 3 run HR.Intentional walks are for losers.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 Heilman inserted as the 9th batter, no double switch. Pitcher's spot due up 1st next inning. Interesting.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Not exactly Willie's best game tonight.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Centerfield wrote:Intentional walks are for losers.negative thinking.Sounds like they decided before the game to walk Bonds whenever anyones on.The 1st one WAS rediculous. This one too.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 2-run single for Alou, intentional walks suck.game (pretty much) over.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 If nothing else, we need to fucking learn for the next 2 games that it's not worth walking Bonds.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Centerfield wrote:Not exactly Willie's best game tonight.i would say not.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 2 runs score as the IBB pushed another run into scoring position.Isn't Heilman effective against lefties? Isn't Bonds a lefty? Why don't we walk Matheny here so we can push another runner into scoring position?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I also don't like him bringing in Heilman just to throw an intentional walk.Let Glavine throw them. He dug the hole, and it gives Heilman more time to warm.Bad game for Willie, though I didn't mind walking Bonds there.
