Make that 21.60.

Free Heath Bell!

Let's end that inning with a 409-foot out.

I'd hate to be Julio's dog tonight.

Three lefthanders due up for the Brews. Might as well go back to Heilman and see if he can get right.

6-run defecit, I think we have to either put Julio back out or use Bradford. Save Heilman for the important innings.

Julio got a bad break when Hardy's bloop fell in, but he needed to show he could bounce back to justify his continued spot on the roster. Instead Jenkins hit it a mile, and Lee almost hit one out as well but Beltran reeled it in.

I realize a great start can cover up a whole bunch of issues, but Julio can't block Bell any further. It's not even in Julio's best interest to be up here at this point.

I'd probably throw Julio back out there for the 9th just to save the bullpen for another day.

Wonder if John Maine can throw in relief...

the bestthing for julio would likely be to keep him as far away from the field at shea as possible. there's just no way he's ever going to find a modicum of confidence pithing in front of mets fans. maybe, if he's going to be kept up, he can pitch on the road... but it would be far better to send him down to get "fixed"

I blame Elster's botched IGT thread.

our first loss in over a week and the blame is already flying around.

I think it's pretty good this has happened. Obviously not as good as if Julio was mowing peeps down, but 10 games into the season, the Mets have identified their one glaring weakness so far (yeah, there's some other minor ones, too) and they've got the resources around to correct it right away.

It's good they have a Heath Bell to bring up and running Julio out there to get torched hasn't buried the Mets in any way, even though they've lost 2 of the 4 games in which he's appeared. This kinda thing's going to happen to every team and we're in great shape to deal with it.

I don't know his contract/option status, but they've gotta do something.

Damn!!! Obviously Willie doesn't read the POTG Polls or he would have known that Julio was only good for mop up duty.

I agree that it's time to send him south to see if he can find himself. If he can't get people out at Norfolk, then it's time for the Mets to cut their loses and move on.

Time to start a new win streak.

I blame myself for going to the game--my record is about 1-10 in the last year.

Cliff looked awful at the plate. His swing looked long and his timing was way off.

Which is strange, cause he looked pretty good just two days ago.

Trachs didn't look so hot either.

Guys with long swings --- Cliff Floyd, Xavier Nady --- can go from looking good to looking bad pretty quickly.

One more reason David Wright wrocks.
