metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I would like to see Willie hit Beltran second, maybe it takes pressure of him, with this long home-stand a good start is vital I think for him, fucking fans are all over him, has he had a hit yet?
Guest KC Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I'm willing to give Carlos 20 games wherever wwsb sticks him. There werepeople slitting their wrists on the radio today over this. We're married to the guy for 5 more years after this, start praying and stopbooing is what I'm preachin'.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 Oh no. ESPN broadcasters are Berman and Morgan. Over/under for when I puncture my own eardrums: 5th inning.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Pedro faces the minimum in the first - Vidro's single is erased by an inning ending double play.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 7 pitches, 3 outs.NICE.Looking crappy with rows of empty seats behind the plate and black unis. But the shiny two-tone helmets are the worst. So NFL. Actually today is all black but all shiny.Japan had the right idea with matte finish domes in the WBC.We oughta knock around Ortiz. Big Game.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but has the facial hair ban been officially lifted? I see lots of thin, neat goatees surfacing. Pedro needs some hair under there as the poor fella has no chin. They're wearing black today. I guess after seeing the helmets a few times, I don't really mind them, but I still hate the black tops.Edit: 2-tone helmets gone for the day. Still have the fish gills, but they're all black.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Reyes leads off with a broken bat dying quail.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Scooped by Widey on the fashion update...
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 ]Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but has the facial hair ban been officially lifted? I see lots of thin, neat goatees surfacing. Pedro needs some hair under there as the poor fella has no chin. I think it's Willie showing that he is flexible with the guys, music is ok now apparently.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Mr. Wright singles in Beltran for the second run of the inning
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Cliff pops up to end the inning. 2-0 Mets after one.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 That ball should have been caught. Hernandez covered a lot of ground but like yesterday fielding the throw seemed to slow up once he got near Nady.Nady seemed to take his time getting over -- ball was in the air for ages.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I-walk to Schneider is a wuss move.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Yeah and the Mets pay for that....
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Damn - a single by the pitcher Ortiz coupled with a Pedro throwing error ties the game 2-2.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 See? 2 runs score as a result, lineup turned over, everything. It's the 2nd fucking inning. Pedro pitching and you're walking Brian F. Schneider.Moronic.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Watson, wearing Mr. Met's 00, strikes out to end the top of the second. 2-2 after one and a half.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I agree...make Schneider beat you. Pitcher leading off an inning used to be something golden.Crappy D cost the lead.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Pedro looks great.I take back everything I said about Willie. He's still a moron. Why on earth would you EVER tell Pedro what to do in the 2nd inning of a game when you've got a 2-0 lead? Especially when he looks good?Let the man do what he does, for Christ's sake.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Oh, man do I love watching Pedro pitch. The man is a goddamn genius.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 That was one butt-kissin' interview of Jeff Wilpon.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Bean ball wars are only fun if Pedro can grab Zimmer by the ears and throw him down.
Guest KC Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 WP: >>>That was one butt-kissin' interview of Jeff Wilpon.<<<Yeah, that was kinda yucky - let's hope that kind of stuff ends with bignews of new stadium day. I have to go wash my ears.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Actually I've never seen that before. Ball bounces off the pitcher's toe & the mound and goes straight up in the air.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Anderson Hernandez cannot hit. At all.
