Couldn't find it on this or the EZboard archives...IIRC, the winners were:98 - Rojas99 - Kenny Rogers00 - Rich Rodriguez01 - Donnie Wall02 - Satoru Komiyama
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Kenny Rogers was a reliever?
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 It looks like he won the award for the year based on NLCS Game 6.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 Ok, found it. Was from a comment on UMDB. Was actually awarded to Kane Davis in 2002.The comment:]An announcement from the Fraternity Of Met Fans (F.O.M.F):We'd like to present Kane Davis with the annual, dishonorable Mel Rojas award for worst relief pitcher in a single season, 2002. Former receipients include:Mel Rojas for 1998, Kenny Rogers 1999, Rich Rodriguez for the 2000 campaign, and Donne Wall in 2001. And now Kane Davis 2002, 97 MPH up to the plate, double that when it's on its way out of the ballpark (just ask Larry Walker).
Guest sharpie Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Billy Taylor with his 8.10 era deserved it for '99, not Rogers.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Tom Martin and his 10.06 should own 2001.
