Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I have a feeling I know how this one will go.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Watching Torre cry on the Fenway mound saturday nearly swayed me..yeah right, FU MFY'S, Angels to spank the yanks
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I'm so waiting for the day when the Yankees won't even be in the playoffs. I hope their stay is a short three games this season.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Failing to win it all with a 210 M payroll will still be disgrace. Hoping for a sweep.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Torre cries every year: at the end of the regular season and every time they win a playoff series. It's a little old. But it's also impressive that he can get emotional when two of the main contributors are pricks like Randy and Sheffield.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I only chose a mild preference for Anaheim because I wouldn't mind seeing Boston beat the Yankees in the ALCS, since Skank fans hate it when they lose to Boston. If those Cleveland Idiots had held up their end, Boston would be trying to eliminate the Yanks today. Damn you, Cleveland.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 For once, I'm rooting for the Yan...Nah, can't do it with a straight face. Strongly for the Angels. I'm not even a front-runner on this as I've already specified the Los Anaheims of Angeles as my favorite American League squadron.http://mets2005.myblogsite.com/blog/_archives/2005/6/10/925957.html

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Martin, you're fired.[/quote:1gf3u9go]And I'm afraid you're not right for our band INXS.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Martin... the tribe has spoken.(Leave the big TV here when you go.)
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Martin needs to persuade silverdsl to vote for the Angels since he has already cast her vote for her.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 More reasons to vote Angels...A-Fraud...from Bob Raissman.CALL HIM 'A-READ': Listening to Alex Rodriguez during Saturday's postgame celebration gave every indication that he prepared a script for the occasion. In three interviews - with Fox's Chris Myers, Sterling and Kay - A-Rod used the following line: "This is emotional for me. Over the last year or so, I've grown so much as a person and a player. I thank the city of New York and the pinstripes for that." Now that's sappy. . . . I saw the Myers interview, A-Fraud all but shoved himself in front of the mic after Myers was done with Sheffield, and I swear he used the same line with Kay on the post-game...ass-hole.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 I know Ill take alot of heat for this, but I voted Skanks.I feel that if the Mets cant be there, a New York team should be.Im no Yank fan. I dont hate them as much as the way the media and NY papers rally around them.(Piazza's last stand gets a buried blurb box and the bombers get 4 freakin pages, not including the back page)But a NY team should make the big show every year, in Zvons world. Its a New York thing.Best damn city on the face of the earth.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Zvon, please take a seat on the other side of the room, next to Martin.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 i only root for 2 teams... the Mets, and whoever is playing the Yanks.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 "Barkeep, a huge stein of mead for Vic after his sage words."
