Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I was convinced it was going to be a long fly ball. I blame Gary. Holy shit but this is a tense game.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Reyes with a 2 out, 2 strike double. Hopefully they'll bean Cairo again.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 ]OMGWTFBBQ11Oh My God We Tasted Fred's Bar-B-Que ... um, at 11?

So I get to see all the Mets games except the ones against the Phillies.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 What was I arguing with you about Castro the other day, Rotty? Looks like you were right!!!!!!!May the SBS strike me down for saying this an inning early, but Castro will be the first non-starting pitcher that I award 6 Schaefer points to this year._____________________________This post was made under the posting designation 169) Joe McEwing

Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Beltran catches the final out and the Mets have won the ball game 6-4.We'll be back with the "Happy Recap" in just a few moments...Steve
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 LOOOOOPPPY!!!!!WOW! What a great fucking game!It was ugly and we got brutally lucky, but we also had some nice, gutsy pitching and one big fat clutch motherfucking hit that is, as Gary said, the biggest hit of the Mets 2005 season so far.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Nice residue tonight is that Castro got Cliff off the hook. Hopefully if Cliff was pressing, he'll ease up a bit.Really great win.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Looper. I like that better than when jb walks around Manhattan having to say it. Woo hoooodle.(edited for clarity, like anyone cares)
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Looper with a drama free 9th, and the mets have a huge, massive, bulging, gigantic, throbbing victory. Now we need 2 more like it.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Remember Dickshot's "Should won/Shoulda lost" thread? This one makes up for one of those games the Mets shoulda won earlier in the season.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I'll update them after the Brationals game.Woo hoooodle is excellent! clarity.

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Wow! I have to start more games partying in enemy territory.D-Dad and I were actually at Citizens Bank Ballpark for the start of this game - we were at a Tug McGraw Foundation fundraiser (today would have been Tug's 61st birthday). Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Oh, and before I forget, let's start up a collection and buy Cairo some range. Seriously, that second inning run should never have plated.
