seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 ="ScarletKnight41"]Screech, the obese Nationals mascot, shoves Mini Knight around and karate chops the banner. It's absolutely criminal that they put Youppi out of a job for this guy.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 ]... was Cameron getting second on that hit up the middle. Official scorer called it a double. What was that about.Really couldn't call it an error, he simply caught not only the CFer but both middle IFers unawares and legged it out. Even a better throw there doesn't get him.Not sure how much more of Cameron's hitting/running/fielding/hustle/good will these Met fans can take. Better get him out of town quickly before we find out.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Well, is there no such thing as an error of omission?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Will Ishii being good enough to keep Heilman in the pen be considered a negative positive in Radioland?

He scored the game, cheered his heart out, and was the only one wearing a rally hat in the top of the 9th <g>I beg your pardon. With MiniKnight's assistance (insistence?) I had a rally cap too. Really smart kid though, I think he followed the game more closely than any of us and kept a neater scorecard than mine.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I rally-capped it. Willets kept score. We were at least half a CPFotD.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 So from what I'm gathering:MiniKnight 4Edgy 2Scarlet Knight 1KC 1Willets 1D-Dad 1
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Well, despite Scarlet's boosterism for Mini Knight, she was pretty quiet herself, so I'd award her point to Dickshot for his clever chants. Also, I'd give one of Edgy's points to D-Dad since D-Dad held up the banner and endured the attack by Screech the Overweight Eagle.MiniKnight 4D-Dad 2Edgy 1Dickshot 1KC 1Willets 1
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Dickshot gets a sip for seeing the third trip through the lineup so well.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 ]Well, is there no such thing as an error of omission? And you last saw that called when exactly ...? Plus, if they're gonna flag Wilkerson for that one (and it was as much the middle infielders' fault) we'd have to flag Guillen for his loafing on Anderson's single-into-double too. And, while we're on the subject, why do I suspect that if those things were committed by the other side that we would have recieved an ear-full of; "well Frank Robinson would never put up with that?" ?]Will Ishii being good enough to keep Heilman in the pen be considered a negative positive in Radioland?I haven't really been listening but ... these are Met fans we're talking about -- WINNING in general is considered a negative to many of them! Then, when you throw in a win which it occurs due to the efforts of one of the designated demons, well ...
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I was only busy getting my elderly cousin, who spent most of her life living in DC, to root for the Mets instead of the Nationals for the day. If that's not worth something, I don't know what is.;)
Guest KC Guests Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 >>>So from what I'm gathering:MiniKnight 4Edgy 2Scarlet Knight 1KC 1Willets 1D-Dad 1<<<I kept a scorecard, and stopped right before the Mets started scoring. I'll takeanother point or two but it would be pointless ...Mini Knight told Wide how to calculate ERA on the first try ... +3 more - a landslide. He can't post until he's 16 :-)
