I was all set to go today but 'something suddenly came up'.

Not going tonight. . . but we are flying down to baltimore for my friend's bachelor party.

We are going to an O's game tomorrow night, playing golf in the morning and then driving back to boston with his best man. . . I am going to try and convince them to stop byNY, stay the night and see the mets game on sunday and THEN head to boston.

But, I don't think it will work. . .

Bought tixx for to-nite's game back in February with the idea we might see the debut of some new Met.

The Dickshotzz will be in Loge section 2, front row, in case you owe me a beer or need to collect one I owe you.

Heading out to see the return of Jae Seo. We'll be in Mezz Reserved section 12, rows C&D. Grey away jersey, black custom scorebook, nephew in a Beltran shirt asking me eight million questions and learning to keep score.

If you go on the 20th, you can take Peanut

Double check on the date, but I am pretty sure it is the 20th.

I remember Ted and Fran saying two things in particular, that they would be off on that day (meaning it's a weekend game), and that you should not tell your dog in advance that they have to sit in the Pepsi Picnic area

I'm thinking about taking my Boston Terrier, perhaps putting a Sox cap on her, although she does have a Mets leash and collar.

I'm thinking that those snaps of Kevin Elster and Tim Burke were two consecutive shots by the same photographer on the same roll.

I'll be at Friday's game against the Nats, bringing my daughter (age 6) to her first Shea night game. We're field level down the right field line, don't have the tickets in front of me to know exactly where.

Has anybody been to the Fan Fest before? Is there a lot of stuff for a little kid to do, and is it worth building the extra time in to get there early? Looking at the pics on the Mets site, it looks like a place my daughter would like. But it can't hurt to get other opinions.

HahnSolo, check out your seats on this site http://www.seatdata.com/html/home/pick_team.htm
It's really neat! Have fun with your daughter

Seawolf don't forget, you need to buy a ticket for Peanut. How much are they?

We're not going Saturday night... my wife gets too tired at night now to hike that far, and it's just too much of a hassle to schlep him all the way in there by myself. He's too hyper; he'd spend the whole time going nuts. If we had a big, calm dog, then I'd do it; but he'd be jumping all over the place.

$30/person, $5/dog, I believe.

FanFest is nice - it has a big inflatable slide, batting cages, a dunk tank (with a volunteer clad in the shirt of the opposing team du jour), and all sorts of other activities. Plus, if your little one is a member of the Mets Fan Club for Kids (something I recommend highly - it's a well spent $25. They get all sorts of goodies, plus every time they come to Shea they get a free gift just by showing their ID cards!), it's where she can choose her free gift of the night. It's definitely worth checking out.

Have fun!

I've got decent seats tonight, in the second section of field seats behind the Mets' dugout. I bought them when the Mets were 2.5 out of the wildcard (and climbing), anticipating a huge crowd. I imagine I'll be able to sit anywhere I want tonight. But I'm still going to have fun and four or five hotdogs/sausages.

You can still bring food in. I think it has to be in clear bags though or something.

I prefer the Italian sausages at the park with the complimentary angioplasty.
