ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Gonna need a better version of Nolan McLean today Carry on whippoorwill 1
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Adjusting to majors and other teams have had time to study him. He's going to be fine. These young guys are really an incentive to watch at this point for me as I've not much hope for the season at this point. The Hot Corner and MFS62 2

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Maybe he went out and got trashed last night. Centerfield, whippoorwill and Marshmallowmilkshake 2 1
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Carson Benge just trashed that offering from King. Just like that, 1-0 Mets.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 It takes a lot of courage to go hunting for a fourth straight victory and send a Sengerless lineup out there. No Bruján factor either.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Welcome to the game, Mr. Bender. You've been inSemienated. The Hot Corner 1
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Semien with a 2-run shot to left. 3-0 Mets after 2 innings.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Peterson up in the pen , McLean looks shot, too many walks and counts
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Was hoping McLean could go deeper but not looking like it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 He got through it. I'd still like to see him reappear in the fifth.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I like Jared Young in 29. It's a good professional-hitter number. Dave Magadan, Tim Corcoran, DJ Stewart, Eric Campbell — 29.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Torrens up there with a .530 OPS, but he's a thing of beauty with the bases loaded.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Is that our first bases-loaded hit of the year? Asking for a friend.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Torrent comes through with the baseboard single on a grounder through the second base hole. Routine out if the Marlon second baseman wasn't playing Torrens you pull. With all the scouting and information available to teams, I often can't understand the defensive alignment teams deploy.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 They were even a non-horrible 4-for-20 with bases-loaded/2-outs prior to the Torrens hit, so now 5/21
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Running around that ball to take it forehand forced Bichette to stay back on it. That ate up all his margin for error. The tiniest of trouble on the transfer was more than he could afford.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Author Posted May 31 I think MacLean has hit some sort of a rookie wall between now and late last season He'll be fine Jared Young is a handy one
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Bichette chased a couple of pitches up and in. Finally laying off one got him the bases-loaded walk. Really, if he lays off of that fastball up on his hands, it'll make a big diff for him going forward.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 31 Posted May 31 WOW, could Soto have watched that any more confidently?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Welcome to the big leagues, kid. ... and they're leaving him out there to finish the inning (or at least try). ... and now they finally pull him after yet another walk.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Awesome. Digging this whole game on XM while rocking on my front porch
