Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Mendy/Mets have announced the first turn through the rotation. Interestingly, Manaea (whose velocity has been down for most of the spring) will piggy back on one of these starts, TBD which Thurs 3/26 - Peralta vs PIT Sat 3/28 - Peterson vs PIT Sun 3/29 - McLean vs PIT Mon 3/30 - Holmes vs STL Tues 3/31 - Senga vs STL
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Hmmm. The Mets only have one day off between March 28th and April 15th. You'd think this would be a time to deploy the 6-man rotation.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21 Posted March 21 They may have more confidence in Myers to fill that spot, Later

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Puma in the Post (or was that Post in the puma?) said that Manaea is expected to work out of the pen for at least the first two rotations. So that's ten games in which there will be two off-days: following games #1 and #10 (or more depending on weather) .
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I like having the piggyback to work the 6 starters through the rotation. Keeps more bullpen arms fresh.
