stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Expect MFY-Red Sox to be promoted on the same historic level as the 03-04 ALCS!
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Baseball died for me today in 2025.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 The AL games are 1:08 and 6:08 Eastern starts.I’m not a television executive but it’s always been strange to me that there’s an insistence on playing games in the early afternoon. Sure, the Boston/Yabkees and Dodgers will be in primetime as they get the most eyes nationally. But it seems odd that they would really get a better TV audience for the other games by airing them at a time when no one is watching versus also showing them at 6 or 7 PM.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2025 Author Posted September 29, 2025 The AL games are 1:08 and 6:08 Eastern starts. And once you know that it's predictably easy to figure out which game goes where.DET @ CLE: 1:08 - ESPNSDP @ CHC: 3:08 - ABCBOS @ NYY: 6:08 - ESPNCIN @ LAD: 9:08 - ESPN(And the schedule would have been the exact same if it was NYM @ LAD)They could never do this schedule prior to the speed-up rules era because when 9:08 came around the Yanx/Sawx game would have been in the top of the 6th.I mean they still would have done it this way but the CIN/LAD game would get bumped to ESPN2 and stayed there until it was close to half over thereby ****ing up anyone who didn't think ahead when setting their DVRs.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 I may inadvertently watch some of any game that's on in a public place I find myself over the next few weeks, but that's it. At home, no baseball. That time has passed for 2025.
